Nylon PA6-66: Engineering Filament for Precision and Durability

Explore the capabilities of Nylon PA6-66: durable, chemically resistant, and ideal for precision 3D printing applications. Perfect for functional prototypes and industrial parts.

INSLOGIC's Nylon PA6-66 is a versatile engineering filament designed for precision, strength, and durability. Whether for functional prototypes, mechanical components, or high-stress applications, this material delivers reliability in every print. In our latest demonstration, we showcase its outstanding mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and printing ease, providing a clear picture of what makes PA6-66 an essential filament for professionals and advanced makers.

Chemical Resistance: The Ethyl Acetate Test

To illustrate its chemical robustness, a small white block of Nylon PA6-66 was immersed in ethyl acetate for three minutes. Remarkably, the surface remained unchanged, demonstrating exceptional resistance to common organic solvents. This test highlights why PA6-66 can withstand oils, acids, alkalis, and many industrial chemicals, making it suitable for functional parts exposed to harsh environments.

Mechanical Performance: Strength and Flexibility

Nylon PA6-66 exhibits 79 MPa tensile strength and 103 MPa flexural strength, ensuring excellent impact resistance and reliable mechanical behavior under stress. In side-by-side comparisons with other filaments, PA6-66 printed parts show minimal deformation, maintaining dimensional stability even for larger models. This combination of strength and flexibility allows for durable prints that withstand repeated use.

Low Warping and Open-Air Printing

Dimensional stability is crucial for professional 3D printing. Nylon PA6-66 demonstrates a shrinkage rate of only 1.3–1.6% at 23°C, greatly reducing warping and ensuring consistent prints. Additionally, it supports open-air printing, with recommended nozzle temperatures of 250–280°C and bed temperatures as low as 30–50°C, enabling reliable prints without the need for enclosed chambers.
